Dub-Stuy and Public Records join forces to present Public Sound Sessions: a new summer series celebrating the full spectrum of sound system culture. Spanning both the indoor and outdoor spaces at Public Records and powered by heavyweight rigs, this day-to-evening session brings together global dub-inspired sounds with local vibes.
For the inaugural edition, we welcome dub and techno legend Mark Ernestus: founder of Berlin’s iconic Hard Wax, one half of Basic Channel [aka Maurizio] and Rhythm & Sound, and more recently, the genre-bending Ndagga Rhythm Force project. He’s joined by fellow Hard Wax selector Arthur for a rare outdoor set in the Nursery, powered by NNNN Audio.
Inside the Atrium, the Dub-Stuy crew takes control with their infamous custom-built system, hosting a live showcase featuring the U.S. debut of UK roots vocalist Joe Yorke, Edica+, and a full-on rub-a-dub session with JonnyGo Figure and special guest Lasai.
Expect sunshine, heavyweight bass, and serious vibes to kick off a proper Brooklyn summer.
