A key figure in Japan’s electronic music scene, Foodman is perhaps best known for his juke live sets. As a DJ, his experimental take on house, techno, and the sound of the Japanese underground pushes the boundaries of dance music, incorporating glitchy, chopped-up beats, unconventional samples, and inventive melodies, presenting a distinctly playful palette.
