We enter a sonic wormhole tonight as we welcome two producers/DJs who play with the varied tempos and textures of the club with unparalleled levity. To open, we welcome a newly named PR Resident and recent transplant to Brooklyn, Sepehr. Cutting his teeth on the club scene in SF and rapidy rising to global praise, Sepehr has made a name for himself for injecting sounds of his Persian roots into sets that madly jump between psychidelic techno, trippy house, looping acid, and beyond. Aiming to move his listeners from their very core, he succeeds in shaking something loose. Headlining, we welcome for her Sound Room debut, Rita Mikhael aka E- Saggila. The Iraqi-born, Toronto-based producer has been exploring the fringes of noise and industrial music for over a decade and shows no signs of slowing, releasing albums with the likes of Hospital Productions, Northern Electronics, PAN, Opal Tapes and more. Like Sepehr, she moves easily through the rocky terrain of harsh electronic forms, ambient textures and the rhythmic structures of techno and breakcore, for a sound that is as jarring as it is intoxicating. With her in the driver’s seat, expect nothing from the night, as she won’t tell you where we’re going until we get there.
